Key stood on the bridge, looking up into the night sky- the expanse of dark, velvet navy seeming to go on forever and he had to look down at his feet to remind himself that he wasn’t floating away into the abyss.
It was cold- it was winter- and no one else wanted to be out at this time of night. But the cold on his cheeks reminded him where he was. And he needed it, lest he forget where he was, who he was.
He was alone. The fact sunk in deeper with every breath he took, exhaling and watching his breath float away as though his essence was being carried away by the bitter wind.
He just walked, wishing that he had a direction to follow. But he didn’t. Because what- or rather whom- he had been following had abandoned him- left him alone to find his own way in the darkness.
With a shuddering breath, Key leaned over the railing of the bridge, looking into the swiftly moving icy waters and watching as a tear fell down to join the current. But at least the water knew where it was going, even if it didn’t know why.
Looking back up at the sky, Key searched desperately for a star- something to guide him. But it was just thick black- the lights of the city too bright to let anything through.
“Jonghyun,” he whispered, his breath floating up into the sky, leaving him alone, still on the ground. Modest Mouse – Spitting VenomVenom – JongKey – PG – romance, fluff, humor
Key didn’t think before he spoke. Some called it charming. Some called it rude. Some called it entertaining.
Jonghyun called it Key. He knew what he was getting into. He knew that Key would give him a straight answer no matter what he asked, whether he wanted one or not.
It was probably a good thing that Key was gay because if he dated a girl, he’d probably end up calling her fat at least once a day.
Jonghyun accepted it and tried his hardest not to hold it against the younger boy because he knew he couldn’t help it and he often didn’t mean for it to be offensive. He just said what was on his mind, no matter what.
And yeah, sometimes it hurt. But when Key had just blurted out that he loved Jonghyun when they’d been together for a month, the latter had been more than happy that his lover had the tendency to not filter his thoughts.
And he never had to guess what Key was thinking, because Key would tell him, whether he asked or not.
It was charming.
It was rude.
And it was entertaining.
But it was just Key. And Jonghyun loved him. So that was that. The Pink Spiders – Teenage Graffiti
When everybody’s talking circles, better get up, get out, put out – JongKey – R – slight smut?
It was no secret the Key and his group of friends were trouble- the kids that hung out in the alley by the dumpster with cigarettes balanced between their fore and middle fingers. Truthfully, almost everyone avoided them, not wanting to get mixed up in whatever they were doing.
However, that didn’t stop almost everyone from gawking at Key…from a safe distance. It was unavoidable, with his sharp cheek bones, feline eyes, and perfectly pouted lips. His daring hair style- half of his head bleached and shaved, - his fitted jeans, and the silver makeup he wore around his eyes didn’t hurt either.
But no one outside of his tightly knit group of friends had the courage to approach him. That is, until Jonghyun.
Jonghyun was new in town, surprisingly wide-eyed and innocent. But that didn’t stop him from flirting with nearly every girl who came his way. Still though, he didn’t have the sense not to just walk up to Key while he was smoking with his friends to ask where he had gotten his leather jacket. Which is precisely what he did.
Everyone froze- nothing like this had happened before. Jonghyun looked around, wondering if maybe he’d accidentally stumbled upon a group of foreign exchange students or something who didn’t speak very good Korean.
“You wanna know?” Key asked then, smirking at the slightly shorter boy. Jonghyun nodded. Key began walking further into the alley, motioning for the other to follow, which he did like a puppy following his master to the vet for the first time.
As the pair disappeared down the alley, Key’s group watched with hungry eyes- some laughing with menace- all looking forward to the fight that would surely occur.
However, once Key and Jonghyun rounded the corner, Jonghyun was shoved roughly against the wall- the wind knocked out of him. As he fought for breath, Key licked his lips- thigh pushing between the other’s legs to push against his crotch. Jonghyun gasped, wide eyes staring at the other boy.
Key leaned in and smashed his lips against the other’s, not at all surprised when Jonghyun responded eagerly- the latter’s tongue prodding impatiently at Key’s lips.
But then the kiss was over; Key pulling back and biting his lower lip seductively.
“What was your question?” he asked coyly, tongue running over his teeth.
“I…um…” Jonghyun stuttered, suddenly unable to recall anything besides the taste of the other’s mouth on his.
“Good,” Key said, running a finger down Jonghyun’s chest before walking away- leaving the shorter boy with a pounding heart and a half hard cock.
And he still
didn’t know where he’d gotten that damn jacket.Vanessa Carlton – RinseSuffer – broken!JongKey – PG-13 – angst, drama
Sometimes he doesn’t know why he puts up with it. He gives everything. Everything
. But still he doesn’t pay him the attention that he wants. That he needs.
It seems like every time he looks over, Jonghyun is flirting with some girl, his fingers stroking lightly up her arm as he grins, eyes holding promises- promises that he’d already promised Key, but never fulfilled. Promises that almost seem like a joke. But still, he can’t help but cling to them like they are all that is keeping him alive. And maybe they are.
It only gets worse. It turns from just flirting to going out with them, dancing pressed up close to pulsing music that makes Key’s head spin and throb even though he’s at home, buried under his covers and trying to suck air into his shaky lungs.
And then he stops coming home those nights at all, choosing to go back with his dates to their apartments to lay with them, to give parts of himself away that were supposed to be Key’s- that he promised was only for him.
But despite all of the pain that Jonghyun puts him through, he loves him. Loves him more than anything. And he can’t explain it- can’t understand it. But he needs him. So he tries- tries so hard- to get Jonghyun’s attention. Does everything he can to get Jonghyun to look at him like he did before.
His brain screams at him to leave- to run and never look back. But he can’t do that. Because if he runs, Jonghyun might not even try to follow. The Veronicas – 4ever

Kibum was sipping his latte at his usual spot in the park, book open in his lap, though he wasn’t really reading it. This was what he did every Saturday- the routine calming his constantly jangling nerves. It had been the same for the past three years and two months. Which was why he was completely caught off guard when he felt a hand on his wrist, pulling him up, and almost causing him to spill his coffee.
“What the hell are you doing
?” he seethed, before he’d even bothered to check who it was who had grabbed him. He was shocked to find the barista from the coffee shop staring at him and grinning, sans his usual apron.
“Come with me,” was all the man said before walking away toward the gate that led out of the park, leaving Kibum sputtering and fuming in his absence.
“Yah!” he yelled after the barista, picking up his book from the ground and dusting it off.
“Hurry up,” was all the other said, continuing to walk. Kibum huffed and hastily started after him, wondering why on earth he was following this random guy anyway.
“Where are you going?” he asked, jaw rigid.
“We are going on an adventure.”
?” Kibum stopped walking, completely thrown off by the man’s answer. Who the hell acted like this?
“Listen,” the man stopped, turning to face his indignant companion, “I’ve seen you come into the coffee shop and order the same thing at the same time every week for three years.”
“So what?” Kibum snapped.
“I want to take you to do something worthwhile.”
, pray tell, would that
be?” Kibum rolled his eyes, beginning to- no wait, continuing to
- doubt this man’s sanity.
“I don’t know yet,” he grinned, eyes lighting up like a little kid’s. Which Kibum might
have found slightly adorable if it weren’t for the fact that this guy was clearly nuts.
“You’re insane,” he stated, “You’re a danger to yourself and others.” The man burst out laughing at that, much to Kibum’s surprise and confusion.
“I might be insane, but I’m not dangerous,” he chuckled, hand wrapping around Kibum’s wrist in an almost comforting manner, “Now come on. We’re not going to live forever you know.”
With that, he was off, dragging Kibum with him down the sidewalk toward who knows where. And for some reason, Kibum was following him, suddenly feeling a little crazy himself.
