a/n: Inspired loosely by a conversation with a friend and goyangi
“God I hate how they look at you,” Junghee growled, linking her arm through Gwiboon’s.
“Huh?” the other girl asked, too busy rummaging in her big purse to pay attention to her surroundings.
“Those guys,” Junghee said, watching a group of guys as they walked away.
“Oh,” Gwiboon responded, barely glancing up before she went back to digging for her cell phone.
guys,” Junghee amended, still scowling, “They all look at you like they are just imagining crouching between your legs.”
“So what?” Gwiboon shrugged, responding to a text message before dropping her phone back into the depths of her bag, “They don’t get to. You
do,” she grinned cheekily.
Junghee couldn’t help but flush at the thought.
“But if they knew that
then they’d just picture it and think it’s hot,” she grimaced.
“Who cares? They can do whatever they want with their own time,” Gwiboon reasoned, beginning to walk down the sidewalk again, sunglasses perched atop her nose.
“Doesn’t that bother you?” Junghee pressed, walking quickly to catch up, “Doesn’t it bother you to be objectified like that?”
“Maybe if I knew them personally,” Gwiboon conceded, “But I’ll never see them again so what does it matter?”
Junghee frowned, trying to think of a retort. She couldn’t find any flaw in Gwiboon’s logic, but the leering eyes of those men on her girlfriend still bothered her.
“Listen,” Gwiboon stopped walking and turned toward Junghee, noticing her unease, “Those guys aren’t important. At the end of the day, it’s you and me and that’s all that matters.”
Junghee couldn’t help but smile in response, her heart melting like the gum she’d seen a kid spit out on the hot cement.
And then Gwiboon leaned in and kissed her, pressing their lips together firmly before pulling back, smiling sweetly. Junghee’s cheeks flushed as she grinned back, the fluttering of her heart making her feel like a thirteen year old girl with a crush.
“Those guys are staring at us,” Junghee announced, noticing the attention of two guys standing on the opposite side of the street.
“Let them,” Gwiboon smirked, “They’re just jealous that I have what they want.”
And with that she grabbed Junghee’s hand in hers and began to walk happily down the street, the other girl unable to keep the satisfied smile off her face.
