Summary: Sohyun can never say ‘no’ to HyunA. Not that she’d want to anyway.
Sohyun looked over as HyunA laughed at something someone said on the TV show they were watching. Well, the TV show that HyunA was watching- Sohyun was watching HyunA instead. She often wondered how the other members actually focused on anything else when HyunA was in the room, but it seemed that she was the only one who had troubles like this.
In her opinion, HyunA was the perfect picture of femininity. And she knew that there would be people who said that Gayoon was more elegant or that Jihyun was lovelier, but nothing beat HyunA’s breathy voice or the womanly sway of her hips for Sohyun.
It had begun as a sort of idol worship. She looked up to HyunA from the moment that she met her- trying her hardest to live up to the standards set by the other girl. She told herself that she just wanted to be like her, to be able to capture the girlish charm and the womanly prowess that the older girl possessed, but it became harder and harder to explain away the amount of time she spent staring at HyunA.
Still though, she tried to deny it until it was HyunA’s smoldering eyes and pouty lips that filled every inch of her dreams- then she had no choice but to accept that she might have a bit of a crush on the older girl. Which was an understatement, she knew, but she defined her feelings as such to herself anyway.
“Sohyun-ah,” HyunA whined, leaning her head on Sohyun’s shoulder, “I’m too tired to get up and go to bed.”
“I’m not going to try and carry you again, unnie,” Sohyun told her, wiggling her shoulder and listening to the older girl whimper in annoyance.
“And I don’t want to go by myself,” HyunA continued, wrapping her arms around Sohyun’s waist.
“Why are you saying things like this?” Sohyun laughed, “I’m the maknae and you’re my unnie.”
“So let your unnie sleep in your bed with you,” HyunA pleaded, turning on her aegyo- the aegyo that Sohyun couldn’t resist.
“It’s too small,” Sohyun complained, feeling her cheeks heat up at the prospect of sleeping next to the other girl, their bodies pressed together tightly in the small space as their legs tangled.
“We’ll fit,” HyunA assured her, “Please~?”
Sohyun sighed. There was no way that she could turn her down. HyunA knew it and she didn’t even know the half of it.
“Fine,” she gave in, trying to sound put out, “Come on.”
She grabbed HyunA’s arms and pulled her into standing position as the other girl toppled into her, giggling all the way to Sohyun’s bunk.
“Would you guys be quieter please?” Gayoon mumbled from her bed, her voice already thick with sleep that she’d apparently been woken from. Jiyoon grunted in agreement.
“Sorry unnie,” Sohyun whispered and HyunA giggled again, falling to the mattress and pulling Sohyun with her.
They squirmed around in the dark, trying to get comfortable and get the blanket over both of them equally. It had been quiet for about a minute and a half when HyunA turned over, elbowing Sohyun in the ribs.
“Oof,” she grunted, “that hurt.”
“Sorry Sohyunnie,” HyunA cooed, aegyo on full blast. Sohyun sighed, but felt her heart flutter.
She heard Gayoon turn over noisily in bed, obviously letting them know that they were still being too loud. Sohyun decided that she’d buy Gayoon a latte tomorrow to make it up to her.
“Forgive me?” HyunA whispered, her lips much closer to Sohyun’s ear than the latter was expecting.
“Yeah,” she breathed out, feeling her heart pound.
“Mmm,” the older girl hummed, snuggling further under the covers and throwing an arm over Sohyun’s waist, “G’night.”
“Goodnight unnie,” Sohyun answered, forcing her breathing to slow down even as she felt the warmth of the older girl’s arm seeping through the thin cotton of her t-shirt.
This would either be the best night’s sleep she’d ever gotten or the worst. She resolved to leave the option for buying herself a cup coffee when she was getting Gayoon’s latte- she might need it.
